Outlook Add-in
Outlook Add-in can be used to improve the workflow by posting log entries to a log in RAYVN directly from your Outlook inbox. This means that it's possible to post emails from Outlook as a log entry in the log feed.
When handling a critical event accurate information marked with correct dates and times are important.
The Outlook add-in makes it possible to log emails immediately.
With a few steps, you'll be able to convert an email from Outlook to a log entry and thereby ensure that all relevant information is registered and documented in your logs.
You can also select the specific log, room and sub incident you want to post the email in, to more precisely categorize the information within your crisis management structure.
You can also adjust the information from the email and add or remove attatchements from the email to make sure that only the relevant information is included, and to add more context.
Using the Outlook add-in can make communication more efficient. You'll eliminate the need to copy and paste e-mails manually, reduce the amount of errors and missed information, and can save valuable time during the ongoing incident management.
If you do not see the RAYVN integration in Outlook, try logging out and back into Outlook—this should make the RAYVN integration appear.
How to use the Outlook Add-in feature:
To post the email as a log entry, select the email you want to post.
Then select the RAYVN app in Outlook, and make any necessary adjustments to the log entry if necessary.
You can also select to add any attachments included in the email, or remove them before uploading the log entry to your log.
If necessary, you can also mark your log entry with a "key event" or "released information" tag before posting, or make any adjustments to the text in the email.
Then, select wich log you want to add the log entry to, and click the blue button called "Log entry".
